Janis Highley was elected 2nd vice president of Indiana Farm Bureau in 2023. She serves on the INFB board of directors and its affiliated companies, including Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance. She also chairs the State Women’s Leadership Committee.
Before winning the 2nd vice president election, Highley served as the District 4 education and outreach coordinator for INFB, where she represented members in Adams, Blackford, Grant, Howard, Huntington, Jay, Miami, Tipton, Wabash and Wells counties.
Highley graduated from Huntington University with a degree in business management. She is currently employed part time at Strategic Grain Hedge, LLC as a grain analyst assistant where she helps farmers and agribusinesses protect their bottom line through grain sales and hedges on the Chicago Board of Trade. Highley also enjoys helping her husband, Larry, with the family farm and construction company. They have two grown children.
