Commercial and private growers can learn more about production practices, pest and disease control, agritourism, food safety and other topics at the annual Indiana Horticultural Congress and Trade Show.
The event, hosted by Purdue Extension, will be held Jan. 10-12, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, at the Marriott East Hotel, 7202 East 21st St., Indianapolis.
Workshop sessions include fruit and vegetable production, wine grapes, flowers, organics, farm marketing and business management.
During the trade show, participants will have an opportunity to talk with vendors of irrigation supplies, plant protection products, seeds, processed foods and equipment.

Students and educators are eligible for free admission. Three-day and one-day registration packages are available. Cost of the three-day registration is $100 and $75 for additional participants from the same organization. Cost of the one-day registration is $75 for the first member and $55 for additional attendees.
Accommodations are available at the special rate of $131 per night if rooms are reserved before Dec. 9.
Certified private pesticide applicators may attend a recertification session Jan 11. There is a small additional fee to attend the session and participants must know their private applicator license number to receive recertification credit. Licensed commercial applicators in Category 1 may attend sessions for continuing certification hours.
