The Indiana Farm Bureau website is a member’s go-to source for many materials, including resources such as county marketing toolkits and webinars. These toolkits were created to provide county Farm Bureaus with helpful information to tell the story of agriculture and contain a variety of marketing materials that can be customizable to each county.
“The toolkits are essentially packages of promotional materials for key events and programs that many of the counties have in common – things like Ag Days, county fairs, Young Farmers & Ag Professionals programming and the Book of the Year program,” said Cheyenne Dunn, county marketing coordinator.
A toolkit that is new for 2020 is the YF&AP county chair toolkit. This toolkit will be most useful to county YF&AP chairs to assist in their efforts to grow the program. The toolkit is a valuable resource to help increase membership and participation at the county level.
Some of the materials in the YF&AP county chair toolkit include:
Another asset county Farm Bureaus can use as the summer months come to an end and farmers begin to think about the fall harvest season is the rural road safety marketing toolkit. This is a valuable resource for county Farm Bureaus to use during National Farm Safety and Health Week, which is Sept. 20-26.
The rural road safety toolkit contains template press releases for both spring planting and fall harvest, radio public service announcements, yard signs, print ads and suggested social media posts. These materials are a friendly reminder to all to slow down and be patient when agriculture equipment is on the road.
To find these and other marketing toolkits, go to www.infb.org/resources, log in, click “For Volunteers,” and then click on the link for “County Marketing Toolkits and Webinars.”
If a member has a question about an existing toolkit, needs something personalized with their county logo, or has a suggestion for a toolkit they would like to see created, they should contact Cheyenne Dunn at cdunn@infb.org.
