The Indiana General Assembly kicked off the 2021 legislative session with a meeting at the Statehouse on Jan. 4. As with most things in the first quarter of 2021, the legislative session looks a lot different than it has in the past due to the many adjustments made to keep legislators, staff and public safe.
For Indiana Farm Bureau members, this year’s session is especially different. Even though members won’t be visiting the Statehouse meeting with legislators in person, there are still ways to advocate on behalf of INFB and the important issues that impact agriculture.
Members can stay connected by inviting legislators to virtual county Farm Bureau meetings, scheduling conference calls to discuss local or statewide issues and hosting virtual third house meetings during session.

INFB’s public policy team is meeting with regional managers on a weekly basis, keeping them updated on what is taking place at the Statehouse. Members are encouraged to keep in contact with their regional managers, as they will be an important resource throughout the 2021 session.
