Caitlin Smith joined Indiana Farm Bureau in November 2023 and serves as the organization’s associate director of public policy. In this position, she handles many of INFB’s policy and regulatory priorities with a focus on environmental and natural resource issues.
Prior to joining INFB, Smith was the legislative and policy director at the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
She also previously worked in several roles within the Office of the Governor, most recently as assistant legislative director.
A native of Fort Wayne, Smith has a bachelor’s degree in public affairs from IUPUI, where she majored in civic leadership and minored in criminal justice.
Smith and her husband, Josh, live in Indianapolis with their son, Waylon, and a dog named Rugby.
