Applications for a variety of state and county scholarships available to INFB members and their families open in January, with many deadlines falling on March 1.
County and district scholarships
A full list of the available scholarships, along with their requirements and the application forms, is available at infb.org/scholarships. The applications for most of these are available through INFB’s online scholarship application platform, which is linked on the site. Separate links also are available for counties that use another process.
INFB scholarships
The Ag Impact Scholarship, introduced in 2024, recognizes applicants who demonstrate a lasting effect on Indiana agriculture.
Three $2,000 scholarships will be awarded. Applicants must be high school seniors and INFB members, or have immediate family who have been INFB members, for the past three consecutive years.
Additionally, INFB offers two $1,000 Collegiate Farm Bureau scholarships annually. Winners of these scholarships must be members of an INFB collegiate chapter at Purdue, Vincennes or Huntington universities.
All INFB scholarship funds may be applied to tuition, housing, books and other educational expenses.
Also available through INFB are the Career Enrichment Scholarship, to be awarded to one adult, 21 years or older, who wishes to enhance his or her career of choice through a workshop, seminar, credit or non-credit class or degree program; and the Purdue University Harry L. Pearson Outstanding Leader Scholarship, which is open to incoming Purdue University freshmen as well as current students in the College of Agriculture.
The application period opens in January. Applications can be found at infb.org/scholarships and must be submitted before midnight Eastern time on March 1. For more information, write to engagement@infb.org.
