Indiana Farm Bureau’s nonpartisan political action committees have endorsed 55 candidates for the 2024 general election.
The two political action committees are ELECT, which makes federal-level endorsements, and AgELECT, which makes state-level endorsements.
The endorsement process starts each election year with grassroots volunteers, who conduct interviews with individual candidates. From there, recommendations are sent to an oversight committee made up of INFB members appointed from each district.
Then the INFB board of directors takes a final look at the list to provide its recommendations. Ultimately, two of the three entities must agree on a decision in order for an endorsement to occur.
