Signups will be accepted through Oct. 1 for Indiana Farm Bureau's Adopt a Classroom program.
Adopt a Classroom began in 2020, and it is an enhancement to the Ag in the Classroom program that allows volunteers to connect with classrooms across the state. It also works the other way, helping connect teachers with volunteers. The idea is for INFB members to share their agriculture story through videos, photos and lessons.
INFB members who wish to participate must commit to becoming an INFB AITC volunteer and must attend a training session, sign a code of conduct and report all classroom visits.
To sign up as an Adopt a Classroom volunteer, to request a volunteer for your classroom or to find additional resources, visit the Adopt a Classroom section of INFB’s website, www.infb.org/adoptaclassroom. Additional information, including the AITC handbook, can be found on INFB’s website at www.infb.org/resources/volunteers.
